Wedding Shopping?? Yes please

Tomorrow is the day I will buy wedding magazines, look at stationary, dresses, scented candles, flowers and have a wonderful day with my (future) Sister in Law and Bridesmaid. (not two people but one in the same!!)

The only thing missing is my cousin Katie. I am very troubled that during times like these I live so far away from the people I care the most about. Its hard to imagine doing some things with out my mother, my cousin/best friend there. But what do you do? *sigh* I think that it just means I HAVE to go to WV in April and do wedding stuff with my cousin if she will have me. I just don't want to look back at certain moments in time and have the memory not include my mom or cousin.

So Wedding Shopping this weekend?? Yes Please!! But this will not be the last time I go shopping for ideas. And I have a feeling, the best ideas and memories have yet to come!

I Know I am lucky

I know I am lucky to have my cousin in my life. I sometimes feel overwhelmed or lonely and down and then we chat and I feel so much better and more connected with the world. Like today I was about to explode due to work overload and i get a nice and friendly email.

My only wish is that we lived closer.

3 Bridesmaids please

Jacob went skiing yesterday and his friend is interested in being in our wedding. YAY!! This is great news. So as long as Jacob asks his brother-in-law and someone from work- soon I'll be able to actually confirm the three bridesmaids I want in my wedding. This is excellent news!! So to ensure that Jacob and Chad continue to be friends- it is my mission to invite him over for dinner once a month.

Skiing or Work??

Too bad I am not skiing today- instead I am at work. While I would like to take a minute to complain about this- I am grateful to have a job. especially when my boss is not the most stable person and freaks me out sometimes by making me think he doesn't like me... But that is probably my own paranoia.

Went to the gym yesterday. IT WAS PACKED. I am very proud of everyone else at the gym, but I can't wait till people start giving up and stop coming to the gym. I give them till the end of February. Until then, as long as their is an elliptical I can use for an hour- I will deal.

I called a couple wedding venues today. It'll be less than $1,000 to book the places I want. My (future) sister in law recommended another location that would actually serve food and alcohol... so I am going to call them today too...

I have so much work to do this week... so back to it.

another Monday

Good Morning... Sorta

So today its back to the real world- back to reality- otherwise known as back to work! This weekend Jacob and I had a lot of fun.

1. Thursday we stayed in and had dinner and drinks. I love this.
2. Friday we went out to dinner and drinks with Jess and Andrew for New Years. I only had two glasses of wine at dinner so I could drive us home.
3. Saturday I cleaned my entire house and it looked AMAZING. I had Jacob's co-worker Steve and his wife over for dinner. Which was yummy and fun. :)
4. Sunday I just did some more clean up, rested, and watched Jacob play playstation.

And while I am back to work this entire week- Jacob is off on vacation. SOOOOOOO lucky.

This week I plan on:

1. Calling places venues for availability on May 5. 2012. Also to get Pricing and capacity.
2. Subitting my time-off for April when my sister and mom come to visit and time off for my sisters wedding.
3. Add 5-10 more pages on my wedding power-point.
4. work on my cousin's resume.
5. Get all of my work done.

Also continue to keep my house clean, my fiance fed, and go to the gym everyday!

New Year Eve- Eve. :)

So its been decided!! May 5, 2012. I have several locations I would ideally like to use. But I really think that I want to use Sonnernberg Gardens. They have several small gardens where you can have 40 people at the ceremony and then we could have cheese, wine and cake. I would like to keep it very small. Mostly becuase I know Jacob would want that. I do think he would be surprised how small 40 people is. And his mom will probably try and encourage me to invite certain people. But with a small wedding- it involves making choices...
